IN THE
APRIL ISSUE

Inside you will find The Tale of Two Marks about an amazing town familiar, news from the Pantry PickUp, the meeting house, the library, Knox Gallery, the council on aging, and the community center — all evidence of the thriving, supportive community we inhabit.

You will also find beautiful evidence of flora (What’s blooming?) and fauna (Wildlife Report) with which we share our daily spaces, and evidence of our shared humanity through the delicate photographs of new spring flowers, and through poetry.

Thank you, as always, for reading. And please continue to send your news, and creative pieces our way.

IN EVERY ISSUE

  • From reports by readers to our long-time nature columnist Bonner McAllester, as well as intriguing drawings and essays by Bonner and others, we cover our neighbors of all species.

  • Is there a local issue that concerns you? Opinion pieces and letters to the editor are always welcome, and we rely on volunteers to cover meetings as well. If you're interested, please email Shannon at editor@themontereynews.com!

  • We're fortunate to be able to print most of the submissions that we receive, including (but not limited to) drawings, poems, profiles, reviews, remembrances, calendar events, event coverage, and creations by the young creators of our town! Submit here.
